I have really enjoyed working with the
families in the Healthy Family Program. The curriculum
is well-developed and easy to implement. My preparation
time is minimal – leaving me free to enjoy helping
our girls learn how to make better choices and feel
good about themselves. |

It has been rewarding to see how anxious the boys are to participate
in the program and how interested they are to learn about their own health.

The Healthy Family program has inspired me to increase
my physical activity and make wiser food choices.
I also managed to lose 15 lbs and maintain my weight
over the past year. It is rewarding to see these
young ladies take pride in themselves as they lose
weight and more importantly develop a healthier life
style.
This program involves a change in lifestyle
for the whole family. The girls and mothers frequently
form bonds as partners to hold each other accountable.
Changing your way of thinking about food and
exercise is not an easy task; it takes a team to
make this
happen. |
